George L. Frisbie started a company in 1949, shortly after World War II. His tools and equipment consisted of a wheelbarrow and a set of carpenter’s hand tools.
In 1954, Frisbie Construction Company built its first concrete-slip form elevator in Gypsum, Kansas (which is fully functional and operating today). Since then, we have worked exclusively in all facets of the grain trade, continuing to grow and develop in knowledge, skills, and expertise managing any size of job.
In January of 1992 George L. Frisbie retired from active business and his son, Michael A. Frisbie, assumed the position of President and Chairman of the Board. George Frisbie Passed away January 26, 2013, at the age of 91.
Michael A. Frisbie ran the company up until his retirement in 2016. After Michael Frisbie's retirement, George Frisbie's grandson, Jason D. Frisbie assumed the position of President and Board Member. Michael Frisbie passed away on September 13, 2023 at the age of 71.
Today, our family owned business continues to be led by Jason D. Frisbie, and the company continues to remain recognized as a well known leader in the industry throughout the Midwest.
Frisbie Construction Co., Inc. is a family owned company dedicated to providing quality services through quality workmanship. A large part of our success is credited to the longevity of our employees. Throughout the years, we have developed many of our laborers into superintendents, sales engineers, and other essential positions in our company.
