George L. Frisbie started “Frisbie Construction” in 1949, shortly after World War II. His tools and equipment consisted of a wheelbarrow and a set of carpenter’s hand tools.
In 1954, Frisbie Construction Company built its first concrete-slip form elevator in Gypsum, Kansas (which is fully functional and operating today). Since that time, we have worked exclusively in all facets of the grain trade. In 1955, Frisbie Construction Company was incorporated.
In January of 1992, George L. Frisbie retired from active business and his son, Michael A. Frisbie, assumed the position of President and Chairman of the Board. George Frisbie passed away January 26, 2013, at the age of 91. When Michael A. Frisbie retired in 2016, George Frisbie’s grandson, Jason D. Frisbie, assumed the position of President.
What began with George continues today. Frisbie Construction Co., Inc. is a family-owned service organization dedicated to giving the buyer the best in planning, quality workmanship and, overall, the best long-term value for your dollar.
